Chalet 61 (Sheila’s Chalet) is a beach hut in a wonderful location with a sea view, right on the beach at Dunster Beach near Minehead, Somerset.
The chalet is an excellent base for exploring this beautiful area of Exmoor, full of lovely villages, beaches, rugged coastline, West Somerset Railway and Dunster Castle. Minehead has a sandy beach, crazy golf, cinema, high street shops and Butlin’s holiday camp offers a day pass for all the family. |

Chalet 61 has recently been refurbished to a high standard and sleeps 4. There is a bedroom area separated by a curtain, which has bunk beds. There is a fitted kitchen with electric oven, sink & fridge. The lounge area has a three-seater sofa bed, dining table and chairs, Freeview TV & DVD and heater. There is a shower room with electric shower, basin and WC.

Guests must bring: their own bed sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, towels, tea towels
and shower mat. We provide: 2 single duvets, 4 pillows and a double duvet at the chalet.
There is an electricity meter in the chalet which takes £1 coins. SORRY, NO PETS.
At the front there is a patio, with benches, that looks over the green where the children play. At the back there is a patio with table, chairs & parasol, overlooking the beach.
Dunster Beach Holidays own the private estate on which there are 230 beach huts (chalets), which were built in the 1930’s and still hold their original charm. There is no through road
and a 10mph speed limit within the site, it is a safe place for children to play. |
Facilities at Dunster Beach include:
Beach Shop, Takeaway Café, Tennis Court Hire, Putting Green, Laundry Room,
Bicycle Hire, Lakes & Nature Reserve.
It is an excellent area for birdwatching, walking, fishing, photography or just relaxing
with your family & friends.
Location/Directions:
Dunster Beach is located in West Somerset, just over a mile from Minehead.
By Road: Leave M5 at Junction 24, drive through Bridgwater, and follow signs for Minehead. Dunster Village is signposted on the left at the traffic lights; carry straight on and you will see the sign for Dunster Beach on the right.
By Rail: Main lines run to Taunton, there are bus connections to Bishops Lydeard and then the West Somerset Steam Railway to Dunster Station, which is a 10-minute walk from Dunster Beach. |
